To whom it may concern; This note has to do with Jim Schutz, whom I am proud to call my friend and my Real Estate agent. Having bought and sold countless properties around the United States, I was skeptical about using a friend instead of an agent - Thinking back to the many days, weeks, months and years we have known Jim, it occurred to me the best person to have on your team is a professional agent. As a bonus, a friend. Clearly, I have the best of both worlds in that with each deal we have consummated, I have not had to look over my shoulder just to make sure every detail was proper, correct and did not place us in some sort of inherent danger; financially or otherwise. I learned very quickly, the very same attributes which became the very foundation for my friendship with Jim, quickly became the foundation of my business relationship with Jim! In a few words, you just can not have a better man watching out for you!! Always diligent; always punctual; always professional; always honest and hardworking and not afraid to bring the good as well as the bad to the table, I learned I could depend on Jim the agent, as I had become accustomed to depending on Jim my friend. I would not make a move without consulting Jim. Even as I was forced to try another agent, I quickly made the change back and issued an ultimatum to the seller - NO JIM - NO DEAL! I quickly realized there is a really big difference in the agents who pretend to call themselves full-service agents..... On the last deal, Jim stepped in to review another deal for me and as a favor, pointed out just a few of the issues. He was able to save me a ton of money, plus allowed me to side-step some very serious and dangerous potholes which the other so-called agent had simply overlooked.. Fortunately, Jim saved me from myself. In doing so, just confirmed what I already knew. For anyone considering a sale, a purchase, a listing, or or just wanting to get some advice from a straight forward, honest guy - Jim Schutz is the guy... Look no further...

Knowing that I wanted to move to a newer home, I looked off-and-on for several years and used several different Realty Firms, but I never found what I wanted, even though I explained my desires to the agents. As an Engineer & Scientist, I felt I could explain my needs very well, but the agents did not seem to understand. When I realized that you, as a Realtor, had Engineering degrees from M.I.T., I called and asked if I gave you a set of 5 or 6 written specifications for the features I wanted in a home, could you limit any MLS information and visits to this small sub-set of current MLS homes. You took only a minute to think about it, and responded “Yes, I think I could do that for you.” In the next few weeks we looked at several homes that were close to what I desired, found one, and made an offer. Unfortunately it had been put on contract shortly before my offer was received. Nothing surfaced for the next 5 months, until I received an email from you that said you thought this matched my “specs.” You were right-on! I made an offer and had it on contract within a week of when it was listed. I enjoy my newer home in Louisville thanks to your excellent skill and knowledge in understanding the customer’s needs.
